This year, we attended Four Years From Now (4FYN) at the Mobile World Congress in beautiful Barcelona.
4YFN is an awesome event where tech-obsessed people gather to see what the future holds for the mobile industry. Excited by the possibility of meeting great people, we flew over from Antwerp to get in on the action.
Armed with a booth, a laptop and some strong coffee, we were ready to connect with other innovative companies and potential clients. If your company had an existing connection with one of our partners (such as TomTom, Danlaw & FleetComplete) you could pop over to our booth and get connected to Parkd – for free. With our booth branded as “the #1 connected car solution for smart parking”, we hoped to strike up conversations about the possibilities of connected cars.
Exploring the event, we discovered a heavy focus on 5G (…and you thought 4G was fast!) An exciting technological advance that will enable services like Parkd to transfer data at lightning speed. Along with 5G, MWC also showcased the Galaxy S9. Between signing up partners at our booth, we got to have a play with it – trust us when we say, it’s awesome!
At the MWC, we met some amazing partners who we’re starting pilots with from today. From OEM’s to leasing companies, 4FYN gave us an opportunity to meet just the people we were looking for. We’ll be announcing several exciting things in the coming weeks!
So, what do we expect to see Four Years From Now? Well, that’s easy… automatic parking for everyone! 😉
